I can’t stop listening to Total Life Forever – Foals
I also regret not being patient and buying the actual CD as the artwork is a perfect beautiful match to the music.

Matchbox labels Collection

Chelsea College Library has the most amazing collection of magazine back issues. I used to grab a bunch then sit and try to absorb and photocopy as much as I could as they couldn’t be taken out. This issue of i-D is one of my favourites, I have a few copies of i-D from the 80s but not this one. Last time I saw it the cover had come off and was floating around looking battered, I lovingly matched it back up with the magazine after photocopying it. Unfortunately the Buy-It-Now price is a little steep for me… does anyone have a spare £250 and a love of 80s i-D?

BOX

Yesterday’s walk down to the post office led to rummaging through the stationary shelf at a a little newsagents. As always it was full of old dusty stock and the man behind the counter had to call someone to find out how much to charge for a box of 12 measuring tapes.

From her Description of Practice:

Currently I have been rethinking my artistic practice with much more vigor. I have been thinking about interpreting my own ideas about self-portraiture, specifically, utilizing the artist book as self-portrait. I have been analyzing my own creative process and creating work that exposes my internal dialogue. Within these works I would like to strive to create a shared experience with the viewer. I have been reflecting on the abstract drawings that I have been working on and am realizing that they have shifted to a particular kind of distraction.

I set myself a cloudy afternoon project of updating my site with another project. Here is “Women’s Problems”, the world’s greatest excuse there is no answer to. From a letterpress project I did in my first year at uni but still really love.

What are these called? You get them when you buy a museum/gallery ticket to wear to get back in etc. I think they are a American thing as I only remember getting them when I lived in Boston.

Anyway, these are designed by OK-RM (Oliver Knight & Rory McGrath) for the Harvard Art Museum.
